GUIDED TOURS OF LONDON'S HISTORIC BUILDINGS
On the following seven tours you will be personally guided by a fully accredited & qualified 'Blue Badge' official guide.

CHURCHILL WAR ROOMS TOUR
The conflict of World War II brought to life. This series of underground war rooms was built in 1938, accommodating map rooms, cipher rooms, switchboards and emergency living quarters. They were closed down in 1945 and not re-opened until 1973. An amazing time capsule. Also features the superb Churchill museum, featuring interactive exhibits, mementoes from his life and the original door from No.10 Downing Street.
Open daily. Admission price payable.

HAMPTON COURT: A-MAZE-ING GRACE TOUR
Hampton Court is a national treasure. It’s actually two palaces in one, covering both the Tudor and Stuart royal dynasties (Henry VIII actually stole it!). Highlights include the authentic Tudor kitchens, Great Hall, and Chapel Royal. There’s also an important art collection, an ancient working tennis court, and the magnificent gardens featuring the world’s oldest maze for you to get lost in! 500 years of royal history comes alive here.
Open daily. Admission price payable.

ROYAL OBSERVATORY TOUR
On top of a hill in Greenwich Park, astride the world's meridian line that separates east from west, sits the fascinating Royal Observatory. It was purpose-built by Sir Christopher Wren in 1675 for Flamsteed, the Royal Astronomical Observator, who was succeeded by Edmond Halley of Halley's Comet fame. The conquering of longtitude for seafarers is a central theme, and Harrison's magnificent maritime clocks are on display as well as the fascinating early history of star-watching. <
Open daily. Admission price payable.

ST PAUL'S CATHEDRAL: THE DEFIANT GIANT TOUR
Symbol of national pride, focus of London spirituality, and a glorious architectural masterpiece: 50 years to build, 300 years of history. Many important events have happened here: the funerals of national heroes Wellington, Nelson and Churchill, and you may recall THAT wedding dress when Charles and Diana got married. The impressive interior boasts fantastic decor, wonderful monuments, and an inside view of the magnificent dome.
Usually open Mon-Sat. Admission price payable.

TEMPLE CHURCH TOUR
One of London's oldest and most mysterious churches, this is a hidden medieval gem made famous by its appearance in the controversial book Da Vinci Code. The rare circular nave was built in 1185 and modelled on St Sepulcre in Jerusalem where Christ is buried. See the tiny cell where knights were left to die, the famous effigies, and the grotesques said to be modelled on medieval construction workers.
Usually open Mon-Sat. Admission price payable.

TOWER OF LONDON: BLOOD, BLING & BEEFEATERS
London's oldest building and a World Heritage site. Officially known as Her Majesty's Palace and Fortress but once described by Shakespeare as 'The Slaughterhouse'. The tour is themed around the tragic tale of Anne Boleyn, second wife of Henry VIII. You will discover his cruelty knew no bounds. Also see the Crown Jewels, king of bling! Seek out the mysterious ravens, and hear how the Beefeaters look after a London landmark packed with history.
Open daily. Admission price payable.

WESTMINSTER ABBEY: CROWNING GLORY TOUR
National mausoleum, focus for royal events, and one of the world's greatest churches. Kings and queens have been crowned here for a thousand years. It was also the venue for Princess Diana’s memorable funeral in 1997. Your guide will take you through a gothic labyrinth where you’ll discover the royal tombs of the Virgin Queen, Bloody Mary and Mary Queen of Scots. See too, the famous Poets' Corner and the magnificent Henry VII Chapel ceiling.
Usually open Mon-Sat. Admission price payable.

AUDIO/INHOUSE TOURS OF LONDON'S HISTORIC BUILDINGS
The following three tours are audio/inhouse tours only. However, you will be escorted by an accredited & qualified 'Blue Badge' official guide.

BUCKINGHAM PALACE: ONE’S ROYAL HOME TOUR
Main royal residence in central London. If she's home the standard will be flying. We can't promise an invite for tea but we can promise you'll be impressed. The audio-guided tour takes in the magnificent state rooms and gardens. At extra cost you can see the Queen's art collection at the Royal Gallery, which contains some priceless old masters, or tour the Queen's horses and carriages at the Royal Stables adjoining the side of the palace.
Open Aug-Sep daily. Audio-tours only. Admission price payable.

HOUSES OF PARLIAMENT: HOME OF DEMOCRACY TOUR
The mother of political power houses and iconic edifice. Hear the great bell at the famous landmark also known as the Palace of Westminster. Today it's where our honorable and trustworthy government work so hard (honest!). The tour is a real-eye-opener, the architecture alone is simply stunning. The main building is a masterpiece of Victorian gothic and is flanked by one of the oldest buildings in London, the magnificent Great Hall.
Open every Saturday morning; Aug-Sep daily. In-house tours only. Admission price payable.

KENSINGTON PALACE: THE PALACE IN THE PARK TOUR
Royal history from the 17th to 21st centuries. Set at the western edge of Hyde Park, known as Kensington Gardens. The palace was famously the last home of Diana, Princess of Wales, and where Princes William and Harry were brought up. A young Victoria awoke here one day in 1837 to find out she was queen. Also on display is a collection of Diana’s dresses and the Queen’s outfits. The Orangery in the garden is a pleasant place for refreshments.
Open daily. Audio-tours only. Admission price payable.
